Ring sizing

Size up for jade.

A jade ring is cut from solid stone. It doesn't stretch and its band is thicker than a metal ring, so most people need a jade ring a quarter to a half size larger than the size they usually wear.

Find your size

Two easy ways.

With a ring you already own. Measure straight across the inside of a ring that fits the same finger. Find that inside diameter in the table, then go up a quarter to a half size.

With a strip of paper. Wrap it around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length. That's your circumference. Find it in the table, then go up a quarter to a half size.

Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are a little larger, and make sure the ring will also pass over your knuckle.

Ring questions

Before you buy

Can a jade ring be resized?

No. It's carved from one piece of stone, which is why every ring lists its size and why sizing up a little matters.

I'm between two sizes. Which do I choose?

Choose the larger one. A solid jade band has no give, and a slightly roomy ring is far more comfortable than a tight one.

Can you make a ring in my size?

Yes. Tell us your size and the stone you like, and our Chiapas workshop can cut one for you. Start a custom order
